Where are the worst places for Allergy suffurers to live? Do you ever think about what the hardest places to live are for people that suffer from allergies? The truth is that the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America has been trying to figure out the same thing. They have been using research and publishing a yearly report on this subject with all the information that they discover. With each of the spring and fall seasons, they will gather up the information from three different factors. They will check on the pollen scores, the number of allergy medications that are being used and the number of allergy specialists for each patient. Statistics show that 50 million people suffer from allergies and astham in the United States. There are many types of allergies people suffer from food, dust, bugs, pollen and many more. The new rankings from the AAFA for 2008 are out and here is a list of the top ten cities that will cause suffers problems: 1. Greensboro, NC 2. Greenville, SC 3. Little Rock, AK 4. Raleigh-Durham, NC 5. Jackson, MS 6. Knoxville, TN 7. Grand Rapids, MI 8. Wichita, KS 9. Oklahoma City, OK 10. Madison, WI As you can see, by looking below, this is not exact and it can be hard to tell which place is "the" best. If you are one of the 50 million allergy sufferers the best thing to do is to check with the local extension office to see what your pollen counts are in your area. Remember that these can vary from area to area depending on the activities in the area. Many things contribute to these conditions and they vary from year to year. If you suffer from allergies and are moving be sure you check how the area ranks with the pollutent that cause these conditions to flare. Your doctor may even be able to help you local accurate and up-to-date information. According to Sperling's BestPlaces here are the top ten worst places to live for allergy suffers: 1. Kansas City, Missouri/Kansas 2. Louisville, KY 3. Tampa-St. Petesburg-Clearwater, FL 4. Tulsa, OK 5. Atlanta, GA 6. Austin-San Marcos, TX 7. St. Louis, Missouri 8. Sacramento, CA 9. Orlando, FL 10. Indianapolis, IN And the best ten places to live according to Sperling's BestPlaces is: 1. Grand Rapids, MI 2. Milwaukee-Waukesha, WI 3. Seattle, WA 4. San Francisco, CA 5. Minneapolis, MN 6. Chicago, IL 7. Syracuse, NY 8. Salt Lake City, UT 9. Los Angeles, CA 10. Denver, CO As one who comes from a family full of allergy suffers I know that this is a serious problem with which many people deal with.
